Winter body care with Himalaya Herbals: A review

When winter comes round I've noticed that a lot of people tend to put aside their beauty regimens - either because it's too cold to spend time on it or because in their minds 'it's all covered up and no one sees it so noone knows'.

In this post I hope to encourage you to keep up with that routine. The ageing process doesn't stop or slow down because it's winter. And once again your beauty regime doesn't always mean going into the salon or breaking the bank (although I do recommend that for more intensive treatments every so often).

Here are a few things you can do, featuring Himalaya Herbals, whom I reached out to and they kindly send me a stash of pamper products.

Himalaya Herbals is an 100% natural range if personal care, health care and baby care products, free from parabens, formulated using rare herbs from the foothills of the Himalayas.

1. If you're like me, you daily enjoy a good cuppa hot beverage, I am loyal to tea, drink it with no milk and take it down by the bucket load especially in winter! So you've already figured, black tea = stains on the teeth. It doesn't deter me though, major weakness. Thankfully twice a day Himalaya Herbals Sparly White toothpaste works like a charm leaving my teeth with no build up and a lot whiter than they would be without a whitening formula. Tip: Wearing lipstick with a blue undertone will make your teeth appear whiter than they are!

2. Skin tends to dehydrate and dry out more in the cold months. A good scrub using Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Apricot Scrub 2 - 3 times a week will ensure you get rid of dry flaking dead skin cells. Increase blood circulation to those areas that are prone to cellulite and leave your skin feeling smooth, fresh and supple.

3. Moisturise, moisturise & moisturise! I cannot repeat this enough. Twice a day after a shower, a thick rich cream like the Himalaya Herbals Nourishing Skin Cream or Intensive Moisturising Cream will lock in the moisture and hydrate the skin. With ingredients like wheatgerm, Sweet Almond & Aloe Vera - we are talking high levels of vitamin E and antioxidants which will protect your skin from the elements.

4. Himalaya Herbals Age Defying Hand Cream - you can never go wrong with. Keep it in your handbag, bathroom or car. Every time you wash your hands, rub a little on. Remember the first signs of ageing always show up on the hands and even more so, the hands tend to age faster than the face! So look after them, use creams with ingredients that will contribute to your long term goals.

I must say, even though it's been a week and a half of use. I'm enjoying every "me-time" session I get to use these products. Interestingly, I saw my hubby digging through to see what he could have as he has totally fallen for the moisturiser and says it leaves his skin feeling soft and well moisturised throughout the day. I guess I know what I'm restocking on my next personal care shopping trip!

Best part, they are widely and easily available all around the world. And in South Africa, please click here for more details on the range and stockists.

Have you heard of Himalaya Herbals? Have you used any of their products before?
