What's in your makeup bag ~ #1

I thought this may be fun to do and see just how similar or different our makeup bags could be. So this will be a series of posts, featuring a few darling friends of mine, and I'm so grateful they we happy to take part.

What's in your makeup bag ladies? Do you even carry/have a makeup bag (I ask because I have seen makeup Ziploc bags before)? Do you carry something totally different? Do share in the comments section below.

First up is Candice:

Q1. What's in your makeup bag and why?
MAC base , MAC powder, MAC base , MAC powder , MAC Concealer, MAC Blush, MAC bronzer and their Mascara. Those are my key make up musts! They allow me to cover up any imperfections and enhance my natural features.

Q2. Where did you get your makeup bag from and how long have you had it?
I got my makeup bags from clicks and I've had them about a year now.

Q3. Do you often go through your makeup bag and swop out any of your products? If you do, how often and what makes you swop?
No, I don't need to do swaps cause I keep all my make up on one bag.

Q4. What is your favourite makeup item and brand?
MAC fixing spray is my favourite item and MAC is my favourite brand.

Q5. If you were stuck on an island somewhere, what 3 makeup items would you not be able to survive without?
I would definitely not be able to live without my base, my mascara and my bronzer.

Q6. How do you describe your makeup style?
I would describe it as very varied, I like to play around so it can be extreme or natural from one day to the next

  1. Hi Tendai! Julie Behrens here from www.everygoodwoman.weebly.com and I LOVE the idea of this post. It's great because I'm always changing up my makeup routine, learning about new products, and surprising myself with the results.

Here is what I have in my makeup bag!
First, I absolutely have a makeup bag and for some reason I'm obsessed with them. I would like to have several of them, but my favorite one right now is my Ted Baker Cosmetics case.

I use Estee Lauder Double wear foundation, contour with MAC copper beach sculpting cream, highlight with a 2 shades lighter L'Oreal foundation, then set it all with MAC set powder. Then I apply bronzer (using Victorias secret right now) but usually use Smashbox bronzer. Blush is Estee Lauder, and shimmer for the cheekbones and under eyes is Soft Lights by Smashbox.

Most importantly is my brush collection though. And I call it a collection because it was an INVESTMENT I love these brushes. I use all of Sigma's brushes. Check out my makeup tutorial at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBhdsgIhKAA or my blog where I provide all the links to my products at www.everygoodwoman.weebly.com

    1. Thank you for taking time to give that in depth response Julie. Very interesting variety. I haven't tried Victoria's secret makeup before, so will be adding this to my list of "must try".

I too am a fan of brushes although I haven't gone out to invest in some of the most common ranges. I was fortunate enough to get a set from Environ (the skincare brand when they still did makeup) these are packaged so perfectly so they go everywhere with me. At some point I also bought the odd brush here and there from Stila but those are pulled out occasionally.
